In a series exploring infamous American aesthetics, femininity and religion, The Gathering takes audiences to the Southern woods. This foreboding landscape is contrasted by a feminine trio who traipse the darkened scenery in flowing fabrics, hand in hand. The scenes play with the blurred line between Christianity and Wicca iconography, centering non-masculine figures in the story woven across each image. Family or coven? Devotees or heathens? Their ethereal figures dance together in mythology that feels tangible yet unknown.
